A friend of mine is experiencing some strange behavior from an HD20 hard drive connected to a Mac Plus. When he tries to start up the computer with the system on the hard drive he receives an empty dialog box with two empty buttons right before entering the Finder level. He has tried starting up the machine with a system on a diskette and then turning on the hard drive in hopes that it would appear on the destop a short time after startup. He has also tried booting the machine with a diskette in the drive and the hard drive on. The result of this was the same empty dialog box with the two empty buttons. There is nothing wrong with the Mac Plus because he tried starting it up with a diskette and the hard drive disconnected. Anybody out there know what the problem is and how to solve this problem or how to just pull files off of this hard drive?
