I just tried to use the Fish! cdev (version 1.1) with System 6.0.3 and the 32-bit Color QuickDraw init, and it doesn't quite work right. As the Finder display comes up, everything that should be white is black, whether it's the backgrounds of windows, icon labels, or the menu bar. Nothing is visible within the windows or the menus. It turns out that activating the Moire cdev screen saver by moving the mouse into the top right corner, and then deactivating it by moving the mouse again, clears the display and makes it look and work right. The fishies even swim around. Is there a newer version of Fish! I can install that will work with the new 32-bit color system software? Or is there something else I'm missing that I should be changing? -- Mark H. Not only does Fish 1.1 have the 32bit color Quickdraw bug, it Fish seems incapable of running on any 68030 based machine. It runs on my Mac II at home fine (save the 32 bit problem), but it goes berserk on the IIx at work. If anyone knows of a later version, I'd like to know too. --Rick Ewing Apple Atlanta __________________________________________________________________________ |Disclaimer: Segmentation Fault: Core Dumped. | | | |Internet: REWING@APPLE.COM-----------------------Rick Ewing | |ApplelinkPE & MacNet Soon!------------------Apple Computer, Inc. | |Applelink: EWING--------------------100 Ashford Center North, Suite 100 | |Compu$erve: [76474,1732]--------------------Atlanta, GA 30338 | |GENIE: R.EWING1--------------------------TalkNet: (404) 393-9358 | |USENET: {amdahl, decwrl, sun, unisoft}!apple!rewing | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
