Ok folks, here goes. I'm a bit upset. It is not my usual policy to comment on other peoples' hacks. It is the nature of hacks that they be buggy and sometimes nonfunctional. I myself have made some blunderous hacks. Anyway, my programming prowess aside, I want to know what the deal is with the Reverse Screen INIT. I may be a bit premature here because I have scads of INITs in my system that may throw Reverse Screen off a bit. However, I this INIT does what I want. Sort of. I want ot know if anyone else has used this INIT and how they reacted. I was excited at the idea. I like the white on black much better. The INIT however has some serious flaws that I thinkcould be remedied with a little effort. Maybe there is another INIT that does the reverse screen a little more thoroughly. I know that patching the Finder is not easy. I would like to have the Finder window Black in the background. Icons on black sounds nice to me. I would like the chooser to be readable when the color is changed to black. The Reverse Screen doesn't handle text and controls very well. It has some problems with its Update Event handler. When in a text editor, the screen is not always updated to black properly.Again it may be that my other INITs are causing problems. Finally, if anyone knows of a better patch, or if the creator of reverse screen would comment, I would appreciate the correspondence. I think that the idea that Reverse Screen has presented is excellent and I support hacks of this type very strongly. It just needs a little refinement. If that's possible under the current system/finder available. Just Commenting It is not the intention of this message to slander or give anyone a hard time. Keep Hacking. ***************************************************************** * Adam C.
