For those who are interested, here's the scoop on using SilverLining 5.11 with accelerated machines in general (not just Radius accelerators). The correct thing to do BEFORE connecting your hard disk to the accelerated machine is to configure the Data Transfer Loops on a STOCK version of the machine you're going to be using. The data transfer loops should be set up for handshaking for both reading and writing - it doesn't matter whether you use SilverLining's handshake or the Apple handshake; once you're booted on the accelerator you can configure the loops to the fastest handshaking combination. Thanks to Don Daeges at LaCie for being both patient and helpful, and for getting me up and running again... --Rich ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rich Siegel Staff Software Developer Symantec Corporation, Language Products Group Internet: siegel@endor.harvard.edu UUCP: ..harvard!endor!siegel "When it comes to my health, I think of my body as a temple - or at least a moderately well-managed Presbyterian youth center." - Emo Phillips ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
