>The Chip Merchant >1 meg SIMMs, 100NS, low profile, 5 year guarantee: $129 (Video upgrade >for $69) The Chip Merchant's price for these SIMMs is $119 as of 17 July. But they don't take creditcards for payment. (Also the guy that I talked to wasn't the most friendly person in the world.) I decided to go with TechnologyWorks in Austin (800-622-2210). There, $129 buys you a 1MB 80nS SIMM made by Samsung with a lifetime warrenty, a 30 day money back guarantee, and the option to charge it to Visa (and maybe others, I didn't check). For no extra charge, you get to talk to a friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable salesperson. That alone is worth the extra $10. (I like dealing with courteous people; your mileage may vary.) -- Norman Graham Oklahoma State University Internet: norman@a.cs.okstate.edu Computing and Information Sciences UUCP: {cbosgd, rutgers} 219 Mathematical Sciences Building !okstate!norman Stillwater, OK 74078-0599

Boy! At this rate, I'm just gonna wait until they're free!! :-) Let's see... at the current rate, that'll probably be before 1990. Plenty of time to upgrade before System 7.0 is released! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) -- Geoff Allen - WINCO Systems Engineering | Disclaimer: WINCO doesn't believe ...{uunet|bigtex}!pmafire!geoff | in Macs, so of course these are ...ucdavis!egg-id!pmafire!geoff | only my own views.

Yeah, but the problem is, they'll all be used up in the IBM Mac clone. <smirk> [with thanks to Stephen Levy for providing me with immense amounts of joy in following all the aftermath from _that_ debacle] --Adam-- -- Adam Frix via cmhGate - Net 226 fido<=>uucp gateway Col, OH UUCP: ...!osu-cis!n8emr!cmhgate!200!Adam.Frix INET: Adam.Frix@f200.n226.z1.FIDONET.ORG
