OK all you former Apple II users out there. I'm looking for the best (i.e. easiest, cheapest) way to connect an Apple IIc to a Mac SE in order to transfer several disks of Appleworks files. It is my impression that connecting them via a null modem cable is the way to go. Has anyone done this and can offer any advice? By the way this is for a friend I'm trying to help out. Thanks in advance, Bill Buikema wjb1@tank.uchicago.edu

Easiest way to transfer files from a Mac to a II is to by the IIc to ImageWriter II serial cable. This cable will plug into the modem port on a Mac and away you go. Set for 9600 8 n 1 and it should work fine. If the disk in question is a 3.5" disk it can be read directly by an SE/30, IIx or IIcx and translated in Apple File Exchange. <<BB>> the elm street computer terminal 49 Elm St. Toronto, Ontario M5G 1H1 --- * Via ProDoor 3.0R
