Oops, I goofed. The code that's supposed to throw away the text for the main window from time to time is there, but it's not being called. This is aggravated under MultiFinder by my allocating too small a partition. The symptoms are that your keystrokes no longer echo to the window, and other odd things may happen as the heap runs out of space. The workaround is to perform a Copy operation from the Edit menu from time to time. This *does* call the cleanup code. Under Multi-Finder you might also want to increase the partition to 200K, but if the text ever gets to be more than 32K, you're going to see some other bad things, so keep doing those Copy's until I get out a new version. Just select some text in the Crystal window, and do command-C. Put the insertion point back after the prompt, and off you go. Minor hint follows: If the Ranger is still bothering you, you haven't even begun the *real* game.
