A friend of mine is looking for some sort of INIT or other utility which
automatically saves your work at periodic intervals.
Can anyone recommend a good one? Are there any problems associated with them
that I should be aware of?
Thanks for any info!
Robert

I just downloaded Autosave II Demo from Compu$erve. It turns itself off after 30 minutes (so you have to buy the real thing), but it seems to work as advertised. If there's enough interest, I could try to post it to comp.binaries.mac, or I could e-mail it to you to show to your friend. AutoSave II retails for $49.95, from Magic Software, Inc. 1602 Cascio Dr. Bellevue, NE 68005 (402) 291-0670 (800) 342-6243 Disclaimer: I am not associated with Magic Software nor do I own Autosave II. I tried to mail this, but it bounced, so I'll post it to the net. There is a SW da around called "Saviour" which does just what you are looking for. I don't use it personally, but know those who have who say that it does work well. I don't remember what the SW fee is. I have an archived copy around somewhere which I will be glad to mail you if you can't find it. Geoff. RatRunner@cup.portal.com gcrooks@unc.bitnet
