czychi@ethz.UUCP (Gary Czychi) (07/24/89)

Hi,

it is very important for me to get help very urgently.

today, my Apple Desktop Bus broke down. No mouseand keyboard response
anymore...

I have a MAc SE/SE and I wanted to know if there is somewhere a fuse which I
can replace...

Thanks a lot for any help.

Gary

Let me guess: You've been plugging and unplugging the mouse and keyboard
with the system powered up. Well, hopefully you're still under Apple's
ultra-generous 90 day warranty, cause baby, you'll need it.

There's a 99% chance your ADB circuitry is blown. The repair is a
motherboard swap. I don't know how much this costs, but I'm sure it's
not cheap.

Why is the ADB circuitry so flimsy? And why weren't you told? These are
good questions, Gary.

Then again, you may be lucky. It may be just the cable. Borrow one and
test it out before you cart the whole mess to your dealer.
