I couldn't e-mail this directly so I qm posting it instead. I can only answer part of your question. There is a rebate on the old Mac II Motherboard. It seems that Apple sends it to dealers and they can do what they want with it. Out campus Apple dealer has said that the rebate goes to them. But I have talked to a retailer and they are willing to use the rebate to reduce the cost of the upgrade to about $1999. The campus book store here says that they might do the same but I still have to talk to the manager and work it out. sorry I cannot help you on the your other questions. Jim Brennan Dept.
