>Hi. You recommended the book "Macintosh Programming Primer" by
>Addison-Wesley. I can't find it. Egghead says there's only
>four listings under "M" in the Addison Wesley section of their

Nope, Macintosh Programming Secrets is another book. It is more advanced.
I have the right book in front of me,

Mark & Reed, "Macintosh Programming Primer - Inside the toolbox using
THINK's Lightspeed C", Addison-Wesley, 1989.
ISBN 0-201-15662-8

Excellent book if you want to learn to program in C for the Mac using LSC. It
does NOT teach you C. It has very good cross references to Inside Macintosh
(I recommend buying volumes I & II for starters) and Macintosh Revealed (I also
recommend only volumes I and II, III is way ahead of novice programmers).

Hope this helps.
My apologies to Peggy Lerch but my messages did not go through.
Don't hesitate to drop a line if you need more info on any
other books.
