I've yet to make it to a test restore with the new Fastback II, so have only "backed up" a few times, but have noted the following bugs (one is likely a feature :( ): 1. The bug occurred after backing up both partitions on my hard disk via tape; after the backups had completed, I noticed that all of the applications/ documents that had been present on my hard disk that were not buried within folders were no longer present. 2. Bad behavior on Fastback II's part is when the "delete old history files" option is selected; in this case the first partition's history file was deleted after the second partition's history file was written. Has anyone noticed these type of behaviors as well? Needless to say, until I file a bug report, I will not be making much use of it in the near future... It's basically an impressive package, but the above occurrences make me a tad suspicious. -- Frank Malczewski (malczews@girtab.usc.edu)
