A co-worker here encountered a strange problem with Works 2.O. In a WP document, he created a merge document to use an existing database. He then used 'Draw" to create a diagram consisting of a dozen or so rectangles & lines, some of them enclosing some of the fields designated to merge. He successfully 'print merged' about a hundred pages, then decided to make a change in the position of some of the rectangles, and successfully printed a couple more records before saving the files & shutting down for the day. Next day he tries to print a few more records - and poof! the rectangles have changed position. I found that selecting a rectangle to move it would sometimes result in an apparently successful move, but the old position was still marked with 'handles,' that could also be moved. Also, selecting a rectangle & redrawing the screen sometimes resulted in the rectangle being vertically flipped on its top 2 axes. Apparently this is what had happened with the unsuccessful print: some of the rectangles had been 'flipped' out of position. Anyone have any suggestions about what could be going on, or how to prevent the 'flips'? The WP file is 7K, the database 31K. Works 2.0 running on an SE with 1 meg memory, Finder only. (I recreated the problem on my MacII, 5K memory, Multifinder). I suggested grouping all the objects, & using the 'Save As' occassionally, but I have no idea if either will work.
