[comp.sys.mac] Mac <-> NeXT file transfer, MacEqu?

   I have a Mac IIx on which I produce and type most of my mathematical
research in partial differential equations.  Alot of the symbol stuff
(integral signs etc.) is done with MacEquation. 1st question:
   Is there a more recent version of MacEqu than 1.6?
For various reasons, I'm getting a NeXT on my other desk.  2nd question:
Has anyone had experience converting MacWrite files to WriteNow files
on the NeXT and if so, what happens to MacEqu inserts and MacPaint inserts
in such a transfer? (They are trashed at best I suppose).
   I'm not an expert on either of the two operating systems etc. so any
detailed help here would be greatly appreciated.
