[comp.sys.mac] What is best drawing program for artists?

I know there isn't necessarily a definitive answer to a question like
this, but if one was to choose a package for drawing things like class
crests (tracing drawings with a digital pen as well as using scanned
images of crests), is there a package that is well-suited for this
sort of thing? I know of Illustrator and Freehand, although I've never
used either of them. Are there other alternatives?
