In the past (and currently while within the same application), holding down the command (fan) key moved the background window without bringing it frontmost. I am just curious why Apple didn't (or did they?) provide for a way of implementing this with MultiFinder (for instance, passing into the background some type of "move window without coming forward" event for the appropriate application to move it's window).
