Hi, I got hold of the new postscript driver software for the macintosh (Laser Prep 6.0 and LaserWriter 6.0) and am having trouble getting it to print figures that can be included in LaTeX documents using psfig (on a unix system). I refer here to drawings (i.e. macdraw), not paintings (macpaint), since paintings sometimes are printed. The new driver software is much nicer since it seems to print mac generated figures with no modification in the laserprep file (prolog file), but only if you print the figures on their own. With the previous driver I found out that the only way to get the included figures printed was by using an old laserwriter (maybe it has the oldest postscript interpreter). All other laserwriters in the Dept. won't print the figure and leave a blank space where it should be. With the newer version of the driver (appledict 70) none of the printers will print the figure, some will hang, others abort the job. Has anybody modified the laserprep (version 6.0, appledict 70) so that it prints mac generated figures included in LaTeX documents using psfig? Thanks very much, -- -- Paulo L de Geus JANET: paulo@uk.ac.man.cs.ux Dept of Computer Science Internet: paulo%ux.cs.man.ac.uk@nsfnet-relay.ac.uk Univ of Manchester UUCP:...!uunet!mcvax!ukc!man.cs.ux!paulo Manchester M13 9PL U.K. BITNET: paulo@ux.cs.man.ac.uk
