[comp.sys.mac] TIFF file formats and source code

Greetings! I am sure that this has been net.beaten-to-death by now, but since
I am not a regular reader, I'll ask again:
    Where can I get information about TIFF file formats and/or source code
    for reading and writing TIFF files?

I'm sure this must be fairly common since so many pc/mac programs support it.
We're looking for an easy way to move images around between several related
image-processing systems we're building.

If you can point me at this info, please email me. I will post a summary if
there is any interest.
