A department here wants to get a digital pen/pad to use with a drawing package for drawing things like class crests. We haven't decided whether to get a PC system or a Mac system. Whatever is decided, we'd like some recommendations on what would be a good digital pen to get. For the PC, we will probably get Corel Draw, so the Digital Pen has to be supported by Microsoft Windows. A cordless pen would be preferable, although not essential. How about the Kurta IS/One? We're looking at under $850 or so for both the Mac and PC recommendations. Since these drawing packages usually have some sort of bitmap tracing feature, we thought a simple hand held digitizer might be useful for scanning the class crests. Nothing too fancy, but something that will do the job. Around $500 is what we're looking at here (based on prices I've seen for hand-held digitizers). There seems to be quite a few advertized these days, all of them looking pretty much the same. Is there some that should be avoided? Thanks in advance. -- Peter Steele, Microcomputer Applications Analyst Acadia University, Wolfville, NS, Canada B0P1X0 (902)542-2201x121 UUCP: {uunet|watmath|utai|garfield}!dalcs!aucs!Peter BITNET: Peter@Acadia Internet: Peter%Acadia.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU
