I've been using Pro3D from Enabling Technologies for several years to produce shaded 3D graphics, for use in various publications and graphic art creations. I really like the user interface, and while it's not the fastest puppy on earth, it has quite a few graphic features that make it very attractive for producing 3D graphics. Anyway, a week or two ago I discovered that Pro3D didn't work on a Mac SEx; it saw the 68030 processor, assumed it was a Mac II, and figured that I could do various gray scales on my screen if I wanted to, even though I had my color depth set to 2. :-) Anyway, I got very dark pictures. I called Enabling Technologies, who produce Pro 3D, and they said they needed to check out the status for an upgrade. When they called back, they told me that they would be shipping me a new product to me called (I believe) "Zing" that would replace Pro3D, work on the SEx, and do a few neat things besides. And it would be shipped out next week. Question: I've never heard of Zing. Has anyone had any experience with it, especially in comparison with Pro3D? Has it been reviewed anywhere? Enabling Technologies has always provided me with decent support, especially in the upgrade area; I'll hope that Zing is another example of this.
