What size SIMM's do SE's use to make up their standard 1 Mb -- 4 SIMMs @ 256 Kb each or 1 SIMM @ 1 Mb each? One 1 meg SIMM would not work alone. The Mac SE (or any Mac that ships with just 1 meg RAM) has four 256K SIMMs. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong ... The SE/30, Mac II, Mac IIx, and Mac IIcx have 8 SIMM slots and require the SIMMS to be installed in groups of 4. This is true of the SE, but not of the II family. The mac II has eight SIMM slots, two banks of four. Each bank must either be empty, or full of identical sized SIMMS.
