A positive note on quality -- I can't tell you how beefy this Mac II power supply is. Just a moment ago, I nearly kicked the power plug out of the outlet. The screen began to shrink and the machine began to die, but then my foot moved and it reacquired power. The CPU didn't even crash. A few months ago, I actually kicked it all the way out of the wall. I reached down and put it back in within a second or two. Once again, the CPU didn't even crash. Thanks Apple, for putting such a beefy power supply in the Mac II. I've not had the extreme experiences that Don reports -- perhaps he needs to move the plug to another receptacle? -- but I have coasted through electrical storms that brought everything else in the house to its knees. We complain enough when it's wrong, but I echo Don's gratitude on this one! =Ned Horvath=
