I'm sure this has been thoroughly discussed before, but I'm new to this news- group and missed it. I'd like to be able to transfer files between my '386 MS-DOS machine at home and my Mac II at work. I've heard rumors of a new 3.5" drive from Apple that can read and/or write IBM's 3.5" disks. Any truth to this rumor? If so, what are my chances for a retrofit/upgrade for my Mac II with one 800K floppy and 40Mb hard disk? Would I need additional software? There's also a device called the Copy II PC Deluxe Option Board which allows the IBM drive to read and/or write Mac format disks. If some kind soul(s) would email me any info, summaries, opinions, pointers, or advice, I'd be most appreciative. I'd offer to post a summary, but it seems likely that you regulars have seen as much on this topic as you care to. Thanks a bunch! Scott kubla@uiuc.edu
