[comp.sys.mac] ImageWriter II TEST

bannon@andromeda.rutgers.edu.rutgers.edu (Ronald Bannon) (08/16/89)

After pressing the ON/OFF & SELECT switches simultaneously my ImageWriter II
spits out the following message:
############################################################################

		LOOP TEST

		ROMREV(05)

		DIPSW1(00000100)  DIPSW2(1100),'1=ON,0=OFF'

		RAM= 0 KB   AT=OFF

LOOP BACK TEST FAILS

############################################################################
Is the 'LOOP BACK TEST FAILS' normal?

I believe that a special cable is required to run the Loop Back Test. The
test is most likely to test the serial port and requires a cable that
Loops back the output to the input.
