We are trying to create a setup in which simple menus from some or another computer can be overlayed on a real-time video RGB signal (PAL) and displayed on a TV set (menu on top of video image). We were thinking of using a workstation, PC, MAC, etc. However, we were informed that this overlay is not all that easy, and that little off-the-shelft material is available. Someone told us that he saw something at MacWorld doing real-time video manipulation on Macs. Does anybody have more information on this? Does anybody have experience with overlaying text onto video?
