I'm looking for a recommendation for laser printer paper.
The offset and high speed xerography paper that Prime buys in bulk for
use in copiers generate a severe curl at top and bottom of page within a
few minutes of being printed on either a LaserWriter Plus or a
LaserWriter II. This happens for both long grain and short grain
variants. The curl is so bad that the document feeders on our Canon
copiers won't feed properly if I try to copy a document once the curl
has developed. This problem seems to be independent of ambient relative
humidity since it also occurred last Winter.
I've tried Pro-Tech Laser Bond Paper - SG (#94162), $4.49 for 500 sheets
at Staples. I get a slight curl, but much less than with copier paper.
Can anyone recommend other types of general purpose 20lb paper for use
in a laser printer that will produce output that lays flat?
Any other recommendations on how to avoid paper curl will be greatfully
accepted.

I use inmac Laser Printer Paper. Product No. 4762. It is Bright White and works fine for me. No curls, just flat output, and it stays flat. I am using a LaserWriter Plus. David Baird ************************************************************************

[question regarding non-curling laser paper...] Well, our lab uses Hammermill Bond Long Grain (-10M-S20) and the sheets seem to stay reasonably flat, and feed well into the document feeder of our copier. This paper has a "smoother" side but its hard to tell the difference. Ben Wilkes bgwilkes@confidence.princeton.edu
