While we are on the subject of Word 4 not storing fonts by name, but by number, I'd just add fuel to the flames and say that Works 2 is just the same. Someone at microsoft is keeping their programmers in the dark I guess - but then some guy from microsoft, on rec.music.synth, did claim they did their mac development work on 386 based machines.... Anyhow, Some time back I asked if anyone knew of any books on Works 2, as I will have to teach it to a class of undergrads. I got no hard answers. Now that its been out a bit longer, I'll ask again - does anyone know of any books on Works 2?

A good book on Microsft Works 2.00 is "Microsoft Works on the Apple Macintosh" by Charles Rubin. It is published by Microsoft Press and it costs $18.95 US. You can probably get it at your local bookstore. You can also call Microsoft Press at (800) 638-3030.
