We have a LaserWriter set up on our Macintosh and Novell Netware PC networks and have a problem with print jobs restarting themselves. E.g., a guy here printed a single page PageMaker document with a copy count of 48. It printed the 48 copies fine, but then printed another 48, and so on until we had to abort the job (by removing the queue entry for the job). This happened from the PC side of our network and is a recurring problem. It also happens when a file is printed from the Mac side of our network (everything is tied into the same printer). We find we have to reduce the copy count to solve the problem. For example, to get 48 copies of that single page document, we have to print 12 copies in four separate jobs. It does not happen on single copy print jobs (or low copy count print jobs). I think this problem has been discussed before (at least in the Mac group). Is there a solution to this or do we have to live with the problem? It appears to be some sort "lack of communication" between the printer and the spooler software. Any and all advice would be appreciated.
