Hi there. In the wake of the announcement of cancelling MacPaint, Claris announced that its features will be incorporated into MacDraw. Why? Hasn't Claris figured out that people want some low-end product to do somewhat precise object-oriented drawing with? Instead, they've taken the route to make MacDraw into MacGraphicsPackage, complete with object and bit drawing, presentation managing and who know what else. Oh, to fill the gap they've introduced Claris CAD at a whopping $795. Please, please Claris, return MacDraw to us. Don't try to make another SuperPaint or PowerPoint. Just give us a low-end version of CAD or competitor with MacDraft (is that still around?). In general, it seems that many companies are trying to make their programs compete with everyone an do it all. Maybe when IAC really gets into System 7.x, this trend will go away.
