[comp.sys.mac] Is anyone familiar with Rapport

On page 135 of the Semptember issue of MacWorld is an ad from Kennect
Technology of Los Gatos, CA. They are selling a floppy drive that they
claim will read, write, and format 2.4 Mbyte (!) floppys, in addition to
all the Apple and IBM formats. They also have a device called Rapport(tm).
Here's what they say about it:

"Mac 512e, Plus and SE owners can have SWIM power and Drive 2.4
[their drive I mentioned above] by using Rapport - the microprocessor
based disk port module that upgrades the older disk ports to Apple's
newest standard. With Rapport and your exisiting 800K drive, you'll
have the world's most cost effective solution for disk data file
	exchange with MS-DOS machines."

This sounds too good to be true. What do the rest of you know about
this? Can I really use my existing drive to read and write DOS disks on
my existing 800K drive? What does it cost?

Today's notable quote: "Apple also recently announced many features of
System 7.0, to be released sometime before the world ends."
