I hate to do it, but... I stuck in Shawdowgate, and although I don't like
getting hints, I'm busy lately and can't timeslice my brain effectively.
I want one hint: How do I get the key from the skeleton in the shark
lake? Be a suble as you can without giving away too much...

I asked a couple of questions about Shadowgate a couple of days ago, and all the responses I got went like this: "Gee, I was wondering how you get past the mirror room", and "Gee, how do you kill the wraith?" This is fine, but this means I am still stuck. I got *one* hint about where to find the lightning rod, (actually, I got it from two people) from some friendly people, and managed to get further than before. Here is what I have... The Bladed Sun, The Silver Orb, The Platinum Horn, the sharp thing you get in the werewolf room (Golden Thorn?), and the wand thing you get from the lightning rod. The problem seems to be that without the Staff of Ages, I seem unable to vanquish the foe. I'm sure I could banish with my round thing, but I'm not sure exactly what I should banish. BTW, I *did* manage to use the bladed sun and the horn to get to the Behemoth and the Warlock, but I don't have all the stuff to finish the game. To summarize my incoherent ramblings, I need to either find or put together the Staff of Ages, and I haven't a clue. Spoiler: The staff of ages is made of three parts: the staff bottom (from the snake room) the golden thorn the silver orb. To put the staff together, OPERATE the parts (thorn then orb) on the staff bottom and then let 'em have it! Floyd homxc!fmg

I need help with Shadowgate. Can somebody tell me:
1) What is the wand for?
2) How do I deal with the hobgoblins?
3) Where is the glove at so that I can get the flute from
the acid fountain?
4) Are the potions in the lab of any use, and if so, what for?
5) Is the well in the courtyard of any concern. If so, what?
6) How do you get in the door behind the landslide next to
the waterfall.
7) How do you get in the door above the shelf and the elven
arrow?
My problem is that I am stuck with no new rooms to explore. I have
the platinum horn, spike, wand, and scepter. Please give me a push in
the right direction.
