I would like to point out that the problem that bothers me is not so much that the location of an application within its original folder is lost, but that it no longer sits directly on the desktop: the icon is returned in the HD-folder. I received a suggestion to correct the first problem, but nothing relative to the second. Stephane (for those who missed the first posting: I leave frequently used applications directly on the desktop. Whenever an older version of system files -- frequent with kids and games softwares -- modifies the content of the desktop file, these applications end-up in the HD folder. Nothing serious, but an annoynace nonetheless.)
