Hello fellow networkers, After having tried to work with the Apple File Exchange utility on a SE/30, I'm having second thoughts of the usage of it. I wanted to convert some files from Mac format to MS-Dozzz format. I read the files from the floppies to harddisk and wanted to initialize them to MS-Dozz, no go. No problem, we will take a PC and format them there and put them in the drive again. No go. "This disk is unreadable", and it ask if I want to format it in Macintosh format 720k or 800k, or in ProDos 800k. And MS-DOS was in grey so I couldn't select it. My question: can anybody tell me what the use of such a program is? (And I tried this on several machines!). Btw don't tell me how I can make it work now, cause I used the old-fashioned null-modem technique to make the conversion. Apple: Is it so difficult to make the drivers MS-Dozzz and ProDOS 'compatible' (I don't like the word but I can't find a more appropriate one...)? Well gotta go to fill my Mac-floppies with some magnetic fields, thanks in advance for _any_ replies. Have a nice day. Annard
