Is there a way to make a program (such as MS Word 4.0) come up with a
default folder when invoking the save (or save as) command. It
typically comes up with the folder that the application was opened
from... Can this be changed?
I could see no reference to this in any manuals.

About setting programs to save documents to folders other than the folder
the application is launched from: look for a cdev called DFaultD, I
believe it's up to version 1.01. Does absolutely exactly what you need
to; in addition, you can define sets you can select, where in set A an
application defaults to folder A, and in set B the same application
defaults to folder B. This comes in most handy when two or more people
are using the same machine; each person can select his own set, and save
his own docs wherever. I found it on GEnie or CIS, can't remember which,
and it's likely someone here has it, also.

I use a shareware cdev (control panel document) called DefaultD which allows
the user to link default folders to individual applications. You should be
able to pick this up from a bulletin board or local users' group. If not,
let me know and I'll make a copy for you.
