[comp.sys.mac] What can I do with ex-Hyperdrive Hardware?

pfr654@csc.anu.oz (09/08/89)

G'day
I have just taken out a Hyperdrive 2000 hard disk and board from one of our
department's Macs. I am wondering if anything can be done with these items:
1 hard disk and power supply requiring 115 volts -probably not scsi but maybe
it can be turned into a scsi drive?
1 MC68000 chip for a Mac
1 MC 68881 chip
1.5 Meg of RAM in 256kbit drams

Can the 68881 be used in a Plus or an SE? Are there accelerator boards that can
take a 68881 in a slot?

Any help, comments or offers to purchase would be appreciated.

By the way, we took it out because it would not continue to function correctly
with later versions of the system software. If you have any ideas on this, it
would also be appreciated.
