TWO VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS THAT I WOULD APPRECIATE AS MUCH INPUT ABOUT: 1) What is the most "standard" COLOR picture format for the Mac? 2) Can you tell me the file format of that standard? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm trying to port Mac COLOR pictures over to another computer (a Sun). Problems: - MacPaint format is only black and white (Versions I and II). - Pict format is SO complicated! It stored the picture as a bunch of op-codes of operations used to generate the picture. - I don't think Tiff stores the color values, just a grey scale. Also, I think it produced files that are really large. - A format like "pixelpaint" is not standard, and I don't have any documents on how it is stored. IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME, I WOULD *GREATLY* APPRECIATED IT! THANK YOU, Roger Carasso
