I've been trying to take screen snapshots on Mac II using command-shift-3, but I've been having no success. I don't care about colour. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a system bug? Are there PD replacements available - and how would I install them? I would greatly appreciate any assistance! - Victor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ bv3456@leah.albany.edu bv3456@albny1vx ...!uunet!crdgw1!albanycs!leah!bv3456

To be able to take screen snapshots you need to tell the Mac to use 2-color graphics, apparently the snapshot program does not handle more than one bit-plane. One way to do this is to go to the control-panel and select Monitors. Set the Mac to 2-color. Now the Mac will take snap-shots and store them in the usual MacPaint files named screen 0-9.
