[comp.sys.mac] Real Estate Software

gford@nunki.usc.edu (Gregory Ford) (08/12/89)

I'm looking for programs to use on a Mac SE for real estate
work. The use will be principally from the standpoint of a real
estate broker. Of interest would be a program (or programs) that
would handle listings, with or without graphics, rentals, etc.
If anyone knows of any, whether commerical or PD, please send me
E-mail. And if they are PD, where can I get obtain them.

Thanks in advance....

In some previous article, a poster was looking for the address of Metropolis
Software, and other Real Estate software vendors.

I dug out my copy of the 1989 Macintosh Product Registry and found the
following:

     Metropolis Software
     499 Hamilton Ave, Ste 202
     Palo Alto CA 94301
     (415) 322-2001

There are about twenty other vendors listed in the book who offer software
that does everything in Real Estate from analyzing property values, to
client tracking for Realtors to printing form letters to tenants who are
late with the rent. :-)

E-mail me if you need/want more names or addresses. If there's any general
interest, I'll post.

Plug for a useful product: if you need/want to know, or if you're someone
who gets asked "is there a program for the Mac to do (x) ..." and you're
not in a position to write it, the Macintosh Product Registry from Redgate
Communications provides a reasonably complete list of software products.
$20 at better computer stores. The latest version comes with a Hypercard
stack of the 450 page catalog.
