I have a friend who has a Mac Plus and a GCC Person Laser Printer. He is getting ready to get a Mac II (for a good price) and he wants to network the two Macs and share the PLP. I suggested PhoneNet (or PhoneNet-like) connectors and TOPS. Question: Is there a "standard" or recommended way to share the PLP? For example, is there anything wrong with just hanging the PLP off a Shive NetSerial? Also, since the PLP is dependant on the Mac CPU to do the dirty work, it seems to me that it would make sense to spool to the 5 MB Mac II. Is TOPS NetPrint 2.0 the way to go with this system? Or some (other?) spooler. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Scott Truesdell
