I'd like to know if there are any good mail-order sources for Macintosh cables. The ones I need always have to be ordered from computer stores anyway, so why not do it myself? 1) ADB extension cable - around 3 ft? I don't even know if such a cable exists 2) mini-8 (back of SE) to Imagewriter I (25 pin) - 6 feet or so 3) DB9 (back of Mac512E) adapt to mini-8 cable end thanks, -rei

However 3 is the one I really need now. Doesn't anyone have an upgraded 128 or 512 with which he's had to use a mini-8 cable? Thanks, -rei

They have ADB extension cables 6" for $5.50, Din-8 to Imagewriter 1 ( 6" ) for $5.00, and DB9 to Din-8 ( they call it a "reverse adapter" ) for $5.00. I got these prices from the back of Macintosh News, August 7th. Marshall Clow Standard Disclaimer: No connection but happy customer.

Jameco Electronics sells a variety of Mac cables for VERY reasonable prices (<$5 for a modem cable, for instance). I don't have their catalog handy, but pick up a copy of Byte and look in the advertisers index. -- Jerry Callen ...!uunet!inmet!callen I have no connection with Jameco except as a satified customer. But you probably assumed that anyway, didn't you?
