We are presently working on a small-scale version of a parallel machine called the UNIFIELD. Soon we will need about 70 PC boards for the parallel part. Each board is expected to be double-sided with roughly 100 ICs. Plated through holes will probably be necessary, as well as some provision for external connection. There is one limitation: money (isn't it always the case?). We probably will be able to spend about $3000 for all the boards, ie roughly $40 per board. Some of the prices I heard are rather hair raising, but it appears that there is a lot of fluctuation in the prices depending on several factors. We would appreciate any information/comments/suggestions on the subject. Thank you for your time (you already read this far, right?)
