How is it possible to hook up a standalone Unix system to USENET?
In other words, who would one ask to find out things like
phone numbers, passwords, etc? I have a couple of Sun systems I would
like to set up to call some machine on USENET for mail and such.
All the refs I have assume you already have a number to call.
Info would be very welcome. Thanks,
Brian

Apparently I can find the names of the nearest UUCP host sites in comp.sys.maps? However, until I can hook my system up to USENET, I can only send mail. How then can one see the map, without already being hooked in to the network?
