I was asked to post the following: --- From: ECEMWL::"g-grb@csclea" 24-SEP-1989 17:49 To: jnh@ecemwl.ncsu.edu Subj: Mac IIcx problems... Hi, My name is George Browning and I'm a Senior in Computer Science here at NCSU. I own a Mac IIcx and I'm having some problems: I just moved to Western Manor Apartments and my place is right in front of a bunch of power lines. These lines seem to wreck havoc on my RGB monitor. The screen image waves horizontally. It works fine at my parent's house. It works fine at a friend's place that's further away from the lines. I've had the monitor, video card, and the main cx logic board swapped. I've tried covering parts with aluminum foil, and buying (then returning) a power line filter -- you name it, I've tried it. Oh, I've also moved the system all around the apartment but it still messes up. Anyway, I was wondering if you could paraphrase the above and post it on NetNews (please!!!). I've been dealing with this problem since school started and I'm getting kind of tired of it. Someone out in the real world might have a solution or at least a phone number of someone at Apple that I can talk to. Apple dealers aren't helping at all. Ask any helpers to respond to my address via mail. I really appreciate it, George ----------- You should be able to reply to George at g-grb@csclea.ncsu.edu. If that doesn't work, you can always (urk) send email to me and I'll forward it. v v sssss|| joseph hall || 4116 Brewster Drive v v s s || jnh@ecemwl.ncsu.edu (Internet) || Raleigh, NC 27606 v sss || SP Software/CAD Tool Developer, Mac Hacker and Keyboardist -----------|| Disclaimer: NCSU may not share my views, but is welcome to.
