Greetings,
On page 250 of the Excel 2.2 reference manual Microsoft mentions that
they support multiple regression analysis. Unfortunately, I cannot
seem to locate any other references to functions, macros, or even
examples that suggest this capability. I have seen single variable
regression functions but no multiple regression functions. When I
called Microsoft customer support they 1) had no idea what I was
talking about and 2) told me they would call me back. I have not heard
from them (2 weeks now) so I thought I would ask the net.
Has anyone done multiple regression analysis using Excel? I remember
an article in Byte about 8 or 9 months ago about using Excel 1.5 for
this. Has anyone typed this in that can send a stuffit/binhex'ed
version to me?
I guess the real question is: has Microsoft added functionality to excel
2.2 that makes multiple regression analysis easy or have they just expanded
their documentation to reference a spreadsheet that someone wrote once?
Thanx for your help.
Dave
