A friend of mine has to decide what to go for in 2 future open labs. Which would be better (in terms of future expandability, usage, etc), 2 labs of SE/30 or 1 lab of color IIcx with 1 lab of SE/20? (by the way, the labs aren't likely to go for Ethernet and people are expected to do all kinds of data processing using those computers, well, except there isn't any color output device in the plan) Also, as the price goes, how much would be the price difference between the color expanded SE/30 and the color IIcx? I'd go for the two labs with SE/30's. Any processor which doesn't support memory paging will probably (IMHO) be obsolete. This includes the SE and the Plus.
