I have some problems with fonts I modified with Resedit (version 1.1d4). I took a base font and modified it with resedit in two ways. The first of these modifications looks ok (although there are problems here too!), but the second gives problems. Font/DA mover refuses to move it (although it recognizes it as a font). The message is: Sorry, there has been a serious problem. ID = 3, 0, (Note the trailing comma!) This is not overly helpful; can somebody shed light on this? Also when I try to open these fonts with Resedit with Open general, it refuses (with both). For some time I do see the watch, but after that it just returns without anything opened. What can be the reason for this? Both are of type FONT, not NFNT. Both fonts are still usable though. So I really want to know whether there is a way to rectify things. (Without doubt the problem is with Resedit. When I modified the second version I entered quit when I was ready. Resedit quitted without asking whether it should save the modified version. After that the Clipboard file was still open (not closed by Resedit), and the font was completely unusable. Using Resedit I think the offset/width table is garbled! I am lucky that I have a copy!) Thanks in advance. -- dik t. winter, cwi, amsterdam, nederland INTERNET : dik@cwi.nl BITNET/EARN: dik@mcvax

Correct any problems and compile it again. This, by the way, is the only sure way to correct corrupted ADOBE font files.
