[comp.sys.mac] Links in Word 4.0

Is it possible to link text in Word 4.0 between two Word documents, so
that updating the main document will likewise update the linked
information in other documents? I thought it must be similar to
linking material between Word and another Microsoft application, but
after studying the documentation, I find that it isn't mentioned.

Speaking of which, is there a way to link text between two Word 4.0
files? For instance, linking a master bibliography and the footnotes
of several papers? I took a good hard look at Microsoft's
documentation that came with the program, and they don't mention it.
I tried it and got nowhere. Any ideas?
