An acquaintance of mine, Brian Hall, is selling Motorola 68851 PMMUs (Paged Memory Management Units) for $150. The PMMU is useful for Mac II (NOT IIx, IIcx, or IIci) owners who want to use A/UX on their machines, or run virtual memory (either now with the Virtual INIT, or sometime in the 1990's with System Software 7.0). I can vouch for the fact that he's NOT a fly-by-night artist... I was thinking about buying a PMMU, but decided to wait.
Remember, system 7.0 is vaporware right now. No upgrades are
necessary in order to run vaporware! Even the original Mac 128K
will run all the latest vaporware, without needing an upgrade!
