Can anybody tell me how to read selected items from a newsgroup without being a regular subscriber. Is this possible? Also, is there any documentation in existence on how to use the net? If so, how can I get a hold of it? Please respond via mail, as I do not subsribe to net.wanted. Thanks! Seth Jackson Digital Equipment Corp. 1 Iron Way, MRO2-3/M91 Marlboro, MA 01752 617-467-4751

It depends what software you read USENET with. There are several interfaces available (vnews, rn, notes, ...). > Also, is there any documentation in existence on how to use the net? > If so, how can I get a hold of it? See your USENET or system administrator. Read the newsgroup "net.announce.newusers". If you don't get that group at your site, you can request copies of the articles here in "net.wanted". > Please respond via mail, as I do not subsribe to net.wanted. Thanks! NO CAN DO. You didn't give a mail address in your posting, and it appears you are buried inside DEC's E-NET. Your USENET address relative to decwrl is: decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-<host_name>!<login_name> > Seth Jackson > Digital Equipment Corp. > 1 Iron Way, MRO2-3/M91 > Marlboro, MA 01752 > 617-467-4751 > ---------- -len tower UUCP: {ihnp4,harpo}!inmet!tower Intermetrics, Inc.
