[comp.sys.mac] How...?

davidp@skat.usc.edu (David Peterson) (09/30/89)

Just how does one go about getting a text file of the contents of a
folder? What I would like is someway to redirect the Print Catalog...
selection to a file (and no, hacking ~50 file names from a 40K
postscript dump is not acceptable). I'm sure that there are utility
programs that can do this, but isn't there something simpler? (no,
doing a select all and then copy doesn't work either)

On a different note, does any one know somewhere (anonymous ftp, user
group, b-board, etc.) where you can get Mathematica packages or
notebooks?

Thanks for the info,
-dave.

Either QUED or Nisus can do this with the Catalog window. Just do a Select
All then a Copy.

The shareware DA McSink will also do this (there's a "list files" command).
